I hold a Master’s degree from Trinity Western University, a Bachelor’s degree from Moody Bible Institute, and a Teaching Certificate from ACSI.

I believe that clarity is kindness, and teaching is more than just a profession for me—it’s a family tradition. My father and numerous cousins have devoted their lives to education, working as teachers and administrators around the globe. For me, the classroom is a unique world unto itself, and I consider it a privilege to guide students through the realms of geography, psychology, and government.

I’m married to Scott, a veteran and skilled pipe fitter. We have a son who serves in the Marines and lives in North Carolina, and a daughter and son-in-law, Mijo and Spenser, who reside in Bellingham. Our family has called Lynden home for the past 24 years.  We attend Mosaic Church.

My deepest hope in teaching is to reveal the movement of God through the power of the Holy Spirit, uncovering the mysteries of our world with both purpose and joy. Despite the brokenness we may see around us, God has woven hope into the fabric of each subject, and together we get to find it.
