I grew up in Southern California and graduated from Biola University with a degree in English, a teaching credential, and memberships in the Torrey Honors Institute and the Guild of English Scholars. Currently I am completing a Master of Arts in teaching through Biola University.
I have been teaching high school English since 2004 and returned to Lynden Christian schools in 2018. I love learning and sharing this passion for learning with students in and out of the classroom; my goal is that my students will not only learn skills necessary for life but that they’ll enjoy that learning process.
Outside of school, my husband, three kids and two dogs keep me busy with sporting events, musical activities, general chaos, and carpool karaoke as we drive back and forth for all these events. I also enjoy reading, planning for class, and tackling various house projects if ever there is time to do so. We are members of the Lynden United Reformed Church and enjoy all the activities that are available there, too.
