Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:12-14

As a native “Lyndenite,” I have attended Ebenezer Christian grade school and Lynden High School. My college career has so far consisted of two years at Dordt College and a transfer to Central Washington University where I received my BA in Elementary Education and a minor in Teaching English as a 2nd Language. The Lord has led me back to Lynden and I feel extremely blessed to be a part of the Lynden Christian Schools’ staff.

Being a teacher is truly a gift. Seeing the excitement and enthusiasm children have to fill their minds with knowledge is exciting and contagious! Third grade has had a special place in my heart for a long time now. I appreciate the attitudes and abilities that eight and nine year olds have. Being a part of Christ’s work here at Lynden Christian Schools is incredible, and every year I anxiously await seeing the spiritual and academic growth of the students through our studies and discussions. We learn a lot of things here in 3rd grade, but most importantly, we learn how Christ is at the center of all of it.

In my spare time, I enjoy being active and love adventure and travel. Some of my favorite pastimes are hiking, camping, music, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
