Growing up in Lynden with the support of my family, church, and school communities, I received an upbringing that not only shaped my head, but my affections as well. I graduated from Lynden Christian in 2015. In the winter of 2018, I graduated from Providence Christian College in Pasadena, California, with a degree in Liberal Studies and concentrations in Education & Humanities. The Lord gave me a growing love for Christian education and called me to be a teacher. After completing my student teaching in 5th Grade at Pasadena Christian, I moved back to Lynden, where I worked for a short time as a substitute teacher in both private and public schools.

My husband Will and I got married in the summer of 2020 and settled down in Lynden with our lovable dog, Shasta. We’re members at Third CRC where Will is the pastor of Family and Youth. Since 2019, I’ve had the privilege of teaching 6th Grade at Trinity Classical School in Bellingham. Ready to consider other options in my teaching career, I accepted the educational therapist position at LC in the summer of 2025 with a desire to help struggling students flourish and excel as life-longer learners. In my spare time, I enjoy deep conversations over a good cup of coffee, long walks in the summer sun, and artsy hobbies, including pottery and painting.

A Bible verse that governs my life and how I teach is: “We love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19). I praise God for the opportunity to share the joy of the Gospel with not only my students, but anyone who He brings into my life. Soli deo Gloria!
