Throughout my entire education at Lynden Christian, Pre-K to Senior year, I have been supported by staff who teach with the motivation of mentoring students into “caring Christians.” In elementary school, we sang along to Mrs. Dean’s songs and learned the motions, which we stored away in memory and bring out occasionally with fond memories. Through middle school, we were prepared for high school, and guided by teachers who used those transformative years as an opportunity to build our foundation to as responsible adults. At the end of high school, we are ready to go beyond the walls, the safe place that Lynden Christian has provided for us to stretch and grow. As we get ready to graduate, students are equipped by our Christian education – a long-term investment from our parents and teachers – and reap the returns of being a “transforming influence in the world.”
