After graduating from Lynden Christian School in 1985, I attended Cascade Business College for one year and then moved to Seattle where I worked for several years before going to Dordt College. I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Dordt College and a Master’s Degree in Literacy from Western Washington University. I continue to take various classes which help me to understand and assist the various needs of each student.

I taught first grade at Evergreen Christian School for five years. In 1998, I began teaching part-time at LCS as the Reading Specialist. Since then, I have taught part time in both fourth and first grade.  In 2016, I began teaching second grade full time and continue to love it.  My goal is to help each student know God personally. I challenge my students to make a difference each day and strive for nothing less than their very best in everything.

My husband, Eric, and I are blessed with two children, Paige and Cory.  Paige and her husband, Eddie, live in North Carolina and Cory lives in Michigan.  I am very richly blessed in many ways and I am thankful to God for being a part of Lynden Christian School. We attend Christ the King – Bellingham.
