No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor death, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I grew up on a dairy farm on the West Badger Road, near Lynden. I graduated from Ebenezer Grade School and Lynden Christian High School. I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a B.A. in Language Arts and received my teaching certificate. After graduation from SPU, I moved to Denver Metro area and spent nine years teaching in small Christian schools there (Center of Hope, Maranatha, and Boulder Christian Schools). During this time I met and married Carl Haan. In 1988, God led us to Lynden and I started teaching at Lynden Christian in the fall of 1988. I have spent most of my teaching career teaching second graders.
Carl and I have three children, Danielle, Kyle and Caleb, all whom have graduated from LCS. We have also joined the “Grandparent Club”.
Lynden Christian has been, and continues to be, a blessing to our family in many ways. God has blessed us with a precious gift in Christian education for our children and a place to serve Him in our work along side many wonderful colleagues. I am so thankful that God led us to this place and look forward to what is ahead for Lynden Christian.
