I graduated from Rancho Buena Vista High School in Vista, California, in 2006. From there, I attended Western Washington University where I received my B.A. in Early Childhood Education and in 2016, I received my M.A. in The Inclusive Classroom from Concordia University.

After graduating from Western, I taught Head Start Preschool for three years in Sumas. I then accepted a Kindergarten position at Sumas Elementary where I taught for six years before teaming with a fellow teacher to create and establish Nooksack’s Transitional Kindergarten Program. In 2021, I stepped away from teaching to focus on my family, but now that all three of my children are in school, I am excited to be back into the classroom.

My husband, Kevin, and I have been married since 2013. We have two boys, Levi and Hank, and a daughter, Mckenzie. We attend North County Christ the King and are so thankful our children are able to attend Lynden Christian.

When I am not on a football or soccer field cheering for one of my kids, I enjoy spending time in my garden, going on walks with our Bernese Mountain dog, Bear, and exploring God’s creation with my family.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” -Romans 8:28
