I was born and raised in Lynden and attended Lynden Christian School. I received my bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Calvin College. During my time at Calvin, I met my husband, who is from Jenison, MI. We got married in 2020 and moved back to Lynden. I am happy to be back in Whatcom County, close to my family and the mountains! I accepted the position of Speech-Language Pathologist at LC in 2020. Since then, I have been blessed to serve within this community, which I know and love dearly. I am passionate about building relationships with students and enabling them to communicate effectively.

My husband is a Physican Assistant in Mt. Vernon, Washington. We enjoy spending time outside, hiking, kayaking, and running. We also enjoy frequent trips back to Michigan to visit family and friends.  I am an avid reader, and enjoy creative activities such as crocheting and scrapbooking. We currently attend Sonlight Community Church in Lynden.
