I was born in 1980 and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, where I attended Northside Christian School. In ’97 the Lord called my father to be the pastor of a church in Blaine where I completed high school through WCC.
Even before the age of 10, I remember having a way with and love for mechanical things; I love to learn how things work and instinctively knew at times. At age 13 I was rebuilding the carburetor to my first car and at 16 rebuilding a junk yard engine. After meeting my wife and going through a period of growing up, I felt called to work professionally in the automotive industry. In 2004 I earned an AD in Automotive Technology at Universal Technical Institute. After my daughter was born in 2010, I started stepping away from automotive as my focus. Later, using my skills in manufacturing and production, I found a clear need for teachers. I realized the Lord’s calling to mentor young people in work ethic and a passion for helping people with their God-given gifts. Every day I pray for Him to guide me through continued improvement, knowing that I don’t know the best way. My teaching styles of CAD, Small Gas Engines, and Welding classes will be the same; theory application with passion, guidance with love, and understanding through Jesus Christ.
My daughter, Anika, and I attend Birch Bay Bible Community Church. If we’re not at church, work, or our minimalist home, we are likely enjoying biking, hiking, kayaking, and/or camping with our dog, Freya.
1 Corinthians 13:13 – “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
