“Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Pray in the spirit at all times and on every occasion.” Ephesian 6:10, 18
I have been the Spanish Immersion preschool teacher at Evergreen Christian since 2015. I was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. I have taught Spanish at the elementary and high school level, and I’ve given private Spanish lessons to adults. I have also served as a Spanish translator for the Bellingham Public School system and taught Spanish to home schoolers in Lynden
My husband Mike, son David, and I live in Lynden. We love to travel to different countries and experience different cultures. I enjoy Brazilian steak, paella Valenciana, churrasco Argentino, ceviche Peruano, and Dutch cookies. I love photography (I was a professional photographer for five years), hiking, art, all kinds of music (especially Latin music), and scrapbooking. I attend Second Christian Reformed Church in Lynden.
I consider it an incredible privilege to teach at a Christian school. To me, it is one of the most important jobs a person can have because you are helping to shape the lives of children by not only educating them, but also by helping to bring them to a closer walk with Jesus.
