A native of Northwest Iowa, I graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, with a BA in elementary education, as well as endorsements in special education and reading. I have been teaching at LC since 2005.

I love teaching second grade! My job is to teach, inspire, nurture and love all of the kids that walk through my door every day. At Lynden Christian, we are teaching young minds to seek the heart of God. My deep hope for my students is that second grade would be a year of many discoveries. As we dive into God’s story of redemption, I want them to discover the beauty of His creation, the brokenness of the fall, the need for a Savior, and the promise of restoration. Most of all, I want them to discover their own place in that story and their role in bringing Shalom to a fallen and broken world.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy hiking, bay days, Netflix marathons, and spending time with family and friends.
