I am a Whatcom County native who traded my quiet town for the big city looking for adventure. I graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle with a degree in Biology and married my husband, Brad, in 2011. We lived in Seattle for 5 years before returning to Whatcom County in 2016 when I started my teaching career at Mount Vernon Christian High School teaching science. I have a master’s degree from Seattle University in Secondary Science Education and experience teaching every core science subject as well as many electives.  I have three boys who keep my husband and I very active – we love to walk, bike, hike, ski, swim, boat, camp – anything that helps us move our bodies and get outside! Our family attends North County Christ the King church.
