I am a Para Educator at the Middle School. I am married to Ken, the 5-12 LC Band Director, and I have a son, Mason, who is in 2nd Grade at LC.  

I graduated from Ripon Christian Schools in California and then went on to graduate from California State University, Sacramento with a BS degree in Biology.  I went on to work for 28 years in Laboratory Medicine, ending my laboratory career working for a hospital in Redding, CA, this past April.    

I attend First Christian Reformed Church in Lynden.  I am part of the music team and play piano for church, periodically teaming up with Ken to sing for the Prelude.  This year I started teaching Children’s Church in our Pre-K classroom during church and teamed up with my friend to teach Sunday School for our 1st-3rd graders before church.  When I have some downtime, I enjoy making greeting cards.  Prior to the Nooksack flood in 2021, we spent time camping and look forward to replacing our trailer someday to continue making camping memories.  We also enjoy traveling to visit family in California and Oregon during the summers.  

I have wanted to work in education quite a long time and this summer God provided an opportunity to make that dream a reality.  I have the pleasure to help the students I work with be successful in their educational pursuits.
