I graduated from Calvin College in 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education. My concentrations are in Group Sciences and Spanish. I began teaching at Lynden Christian Middle School in 2003 and later returned to Western Washington to obtain a Masters degree in Science Education/Natural Sciences. As a seventh grade Science and Math teacher my goal is to provide experiences and instruction that encourage students to better understand the world around us. Through the study of God’s creation we better understand how to better fulfill our responsibility to care for it. In addition, I teach Drama and World Cultures electives which allow students to produce unique performances each year and identify key characteristics of cultural heritage in and among Lynden, respectively.
My husband and I worship at “The Table” in Bellingham, Washington and love to take advantage of the activities that the Pacific Northwest has to offer – camping, biking, and running are among our favorites.
