“Through the ups and downs of life, God has truly given me a hope and a future in Him.” Jeremiah 29:11

After graduating from Lynden Christian, I attended Seattle Pacific University. While at SPU, I was a member of the basketball and track teams while working to earn a B.A. in Physical Education along with teaching credentials. I began my coaching career during my senior year at SPU because an injury sidelined me from continuing to play. After graduating in 1986, I coached basketball and volleyball in the Bellevue area, while working as a substitute teacher. I moved to Centralia High School in the fall of 1988 and taught PE and coached volleyball and basketball. In the fall of 1996, I moved back to Whatcom County and began working at Mount Baker High School where over the next 20 years I was a PE teacher, coach, and/or athletic director. Over the course of my professional career I earned a Master’s degree in Educational Technology and then Administrative Credentials. I began working for Lynden Christian School as the Activities Director in the summer of 2016. I feel very blessed that my professional life has circled back to Lynden Christian to be part of its mission of educating and preparing our young people.

My “hobby” is softball umpiring. I started at the local level and progressed to the international level, calling games involving the National teams in World Competition. The highlight of my softball umpiring career was representing USA at the Women’s World Softball Championships in the Netherlands in 2014. I attend Cornwall Church.
