I was born and raised in Lynden and was incredibly blessed by a strong and loving family, church, school, and local community. After graduating from Lynden Christian, I attended Dordt College where I had the opportunity to study, play softball, and travel. I graduated with an elementary teaching degree with specializations in both Spanish and English as a Second Language (ESL). From there I taught 4th grade for two years at Timothy Christian School in Elmhurst, IL.  I returned to Washington in 2022 and worked as an ESL specialist at Centennial Elementary in Mount Vernon and as a classroom teacher at Sunnyland Elementary in Bellingham before joining Lynden Christian as an Educational Therapist and a Reading Specialist in 2022.  

I have been married to my husband, Scott, since 2015 and God has blessed our blended family greatly. Jerimiah is a recent graduate of Ferndale High School and our two girls, Alexia and Anneke, are enrolled in the Spanish Immersion program at Lynden Christian. We live in Lynden and attend North County Christ the King Church.  We love spending time outdoors in this beautiful place we are blessed to call home.  

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work one-on-one with students through the Discovery Program and in small groups within the Spanish Immersion program. My hope and prayer is that God will use me to help students grow and develop their gifts academically, emotionally, and spiritually into the person He has created them to be!
