I am so excited to be a part of the staff this year as a paraeducator! I was born and raised in Oregon but moved up to Lynden when I was 17. I hadn’t planned on being here long, only to finish up high school…but then out of nowhere, I met the love of my life. Nick and I graduated in 2002 from Meridian High School and married in 2006. We are now high school sweethearts of 20 years. We also have been outrageously blessed with our three beautiful children. They are absolutely everything to me and we are so proud of them every single day. I love working with kids, especially teenagers because they’re interesting and multifaceted. There’s so much depth in there, that they don’t even realize all their capabilities quite yet! They have so much room to grow and so much potential, and if I can help them grow in any way, that would be such a blessing to my heart. I look at my job here at LC as a mission field, and I plan on trying my best to bless everyone that I can, and that I come into contact with. I pray they leave our interactions with hope and they leave feeling heard, loved, and supported.

Our family attends Hillcrest Church in Bellingham, and we love the deep dives into God’s Word every week, and the community outreach. I have too many favorites and beloved Scriptures to count, but since I can’t leave them all here, I will share these:

Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

Matthew 11:28: “Come to Jesus when you are weary and burdened, and He will give you rest”
