I have been working at Lynden Christian Middle School since 2021. We moved to the area after my wife, Hannah, was hired to teach high school English. Prior to moving to Lynden, our family lived in the Seattle area for six years where I was employed at Bellevue Christian School. Even though my wife and I attended Calvin University at the same time, we actually met in Gallup, New Mexico where we attended Rehoboth CRC.

We are members at Third CRC in Lynden and have two young daughters, Marika and Lydia. My interests lie in the intersection between history, literature and theology. I’m loving teaching 8th grade Bible after many years of teaching social studies and English. Students enjoy teasing me for my love of the traditional wooden pencil and the Seattle Mariners.
