I was born in Abbotsford, BC, but grew up in Whatcom County. I’m blessed to have been raised by Christian parents who prioritized Christian education. Prior to coming to Lynden Christian in the Summer of 2022, I worked in broadcast journalism. I hosted my first radio show on KGMI when I was 16, then later worked at KNTR in Ferndale, before returning to KGMI from 1996-99.

I moved to Portland in 1999 and worked on Portland Trail Blazers radio/TV broadcasts for 22 years. I also had the privilege of covering many major sporting events, including the Super Bowl, College Football National Championship, Rose Bowl, and NCAA Tournament.

I married my wife, Amanda, in 2008 and the Lord has blessed us with two daughters, Norah (5th) and Paityn (3rd), who both attend LC. My wife works as a Christian counselor in Lynden. We enjoy family adventures, exploring the Pacific Northwest, and spending time with our Basset Hound, Molly May. We attend Valley Church in Nooksack.

I love working at LC as the Director of Development because I’m passionate about Christian education and partnering with Christian families in training young people to make a difference for the Lord’s kingdom and impact the world around them. I feel blessed to work in a Christ-honoring environment where my Christian beliefs and morals are shared and respected by my coworkers and the LC community.

My life verse is Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
