As a Lynden Christian School graduate in 2008, it has been a privilege to work as a Para Educator at Lynden Christian Elementary School since 2022. I have truly enjoyed getting to know the staff and students and seeing many familiar faces around campus. I have also enjoyed working at a Christian school and growing in my faith and knowledge of teaching.

I know that God is with those who seek Him; and during struggles in my life, I have seen His promise at work in me. As Deuteronomy 31:8 says, “And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you not forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” I believe that trials help mold us into God’s workmanship and help us discover His plan for our lives. I have been blessed with a close-knit church family in the North Sound Church of Christ in Bellingham.

I graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in English, and this year I finished a Master’s program in Educational Studies from Western Governor’s University. I gleaned knowledge through education that has contributed to growth in my teaching style and strategies. I have a passion for working with children, and I love watching their growth in academics and learning about God’s deep love for them.

I am grateful for my family’s constant love and support. I have one brother who is married; he and his wife have a son, and they are expecting a daughter next year!

As a former gymnast, I have learned the values of persistence, dedication, and positive thinking. I will continue to employ these character traits in my work with students. I hope that above all else, I can impart to my students the eternal truth that God loves them unconditionally and is constantly working things out for their good (Romans 8:28).
