I graduated from Calvin College in the early 80’s with a degree in Computer Science, and I have been adapting to the changing landscape of technology ever since. At about the time Pixar was just starting its first animations (remember the lamp that would hop around) I started off as a programmer writing 2-D and 3-D computer graphics for interior designers and space planners. I also created Computer Aided Instruction (CAI) software which enabled teachers to further tutor their students after class. I taught computer literacy and computer language classes at Calvin College and Western Michigan University. And up until joining the staff at LC as one of the “tech guys”, I was a self-employed programmer with software still going strong long after Y2K was supposed to put us back in the dark ages. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to support our LC staff and students in this fast paced and changing environment.
