Recycling Center

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your support for the recycle center! It has been part of Lynden Christian and the Lynden community for decades and is multi-generational. I have heard awesome stories of staff and volunteers working with their parents and grandparents collecting paper, baling cardboard, and doing “cash for trash.” With much discussion and prayer, we have decided to close the Lynden Christian Recycling Center. Recycling has been a great fundraiser for the school for many years. However, with the dramatic drop in cardboard recycling prices and the effects of the COVID shutdowns, it is no longer a viable or sustainable fundraiser. December 1, 2020, is the last drop off day.

Please continue to keep recycling by adding cardboard to your curbside service or use other companies (Nooksack Valley Disposal, SSC, Northwest Recycling, or some other company).

The school board is putting a task force together to explore other alternative revenue opportunities in order to increase Lynden Christian’s strength and sustainability.

We certainly find ourselves trusting in and hoping for God’s provision for Lynden Christian’s future and sustainability in the next chapter. He has brought us this far!
