I am a passionate art educator with more than ten years of teaching experience and a heart for helping students discover the creativity God has given them.
Most recently, I taught at Valley Catholic Middle School in Beaverton, Oregon, where I led the Fine Arts Department and helped grow the art program. As a Christian homeschool graduate, I have always had a deep appreciation for Christian education. This inspired me to start a traveling art program that brought Christ-centered art instruction to homeschool communities in five cities throughout the Portland area. It has been a joy to encourage students to see art as a way to glorify God and express the unique gifts He has given them.
Now more than ever, I believe it is important to raise the next generation of artists who use their creativity to glorify the Lord. Visual arts have the power to inspire, communicate truth, and make a lasting impact on the world around us.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two dogs. As an international couple, my Canadian husband and I love exploring God’s creation through hiking, traveling, and spending time outdoors on both sides of the border. I am excited to become part of the Lynden Christian School community and look forward to encouraging students to grow both artistically and spiritually while helping them recognize and develop the gifts God has entrusted to them.
