After graduating from Lynden Christian in 2003, I attended Seattle Pacific University and graduated with degrees in Language Arts and Psychology and a K-8 Teaching Certificate. After teaching elementary school in Arizona for seven years, I moved back to Lynden where I taught locally in the Meridian School District and Lynden School District in various roles. In 2017 I completed a Masters in Educational Leadership from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon.
I think it’s pretty special to work in a school where Christ is the center of the teaching and learning. From kindergarten where kids learn through Bible stories that Jesus created them and loves them to 12th grade where students are taught how to critically think about and discuss Christian apologetics, the Word of God is always at the forefront of education at Lynden Christian. I am proud and excited to be a part of that.
My husband, Erik, and I have four children: Colton, Wesley, Benjamin, and Johanna. Together, we love camping and exploring new places. Our family belongs to NCCTK Church in Lynden. When I’m not at school I enjoy reading a good book, watching sports, and supporting community theatre.
