For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
After graduating from Kent-Meridian High School in 1979, I attended Seattle Pacific University where I studied Special Education. In 1984, I graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education/Elementary Education and minored in Speech Pathology/Audiology. From 1984-1986, I taught elementary special education at Fisher Elementary in Lynden. I have performed post graduate work at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and have received training through the National Institute for Learning Disabilities. I have been an educational therapist in the Discovery Program at Lynden Christian School since 2000.
My mission in the LCS Discovery Program is to help enable students to develop their academic abilities as well as to encourage each student to see God’s work in their lives. It is my desire to be used by God to help build the faith of the student as we work together to strengthen their unique gifts and abilities for learning.
I have two children, Brian and Karen, and attend Christ Church (PCA denomination) in Bellingham.
