I was born and raised in Oak Harbor, WA. I was blessed to be raised by Christian parents who loved Christian education. I am the oldest of six children and my parents still live in the house we grew up in. My dad just celebrated his 90th birthday in July. 

I attended Dordt College (now University) and received my teaching degree. I began dating my wife in college and we were married in between my junior and senior year. My wife, June, graduated from Lynden Christian in 1978. We have three wonderful sons, three awesome daughters-in-laws, and the best nine grandchildren. 

I have served at several Christian Schools in my career. I taught at Monroe Christian, Lynden Christian, and Ontario Christian. I was a principal at Central Valley Christian in Visalia, CA and at Ontario Christian in Ontario, CA. My last three years were spent as the Superintendent at Ontario Christian.  

I enjoy camping and golfing. My wife and I love to see different areas of the country as we travel to see our kids and grandkids. We’re looking forward to spending time with our family in WA this year. I am looking forward to seeing three of my grandkids at school each day as well as my son Chad. 

June and I are excited to back in Lynden and to serve at Lynden Christian. The Lord has prepared us for such a time as this. It’ll be a time of reconnecting and seeing what God has in store for us and Lynden Christian. We plan on visiting various churches in the area while we are here. Our home church in Ontario/Chino, CA is CrossPoint Christian Reformed Church. My life verse is from Philippians 4:13 which says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
