And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:16-19

I grew up in Oregon and graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2001 with a BA in Elementary Education. Following graduation I taught for eight years in the Edmonds School District. In 2005 I completed my Masters in Education degree at the University of Washington and achieved National Board Certification.

In 2010 my family moved to Lynden to be closer to family. After three years home with my young children, I returned to the classroom. At Lynden Christian I have taught 5th grade, Kindergarten, and am now a Discovery Therapist. Having taught in the public school system, I can attest to what a blessing it is to be part of Christian education. I consider it a privilege to keep Christ at the center of learning, and to encourage students both academically and spiritually. Whatever the subject, knowledge becomes much more powerful and exciting when we can examine how it fits into God’s divine purposes for His creation.

I married my husband, Tim, in 2001. We have two children, Andrew and Ava. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, camping, playing games and teaching Sunday school at our church.
