“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

I received a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Education and a Master’s of Arts in Teaching from Calvin College (Grand Rapids, MI). My degree in Educational Leadership is from the University of Colorado (Colorado Springs, CO). I taught for three years at West Sayville Christian School (West Sayville, NY) and seven years at Rehoboth Christian School (Rehoboth, NM). I taught for a year and then served as middle school principal at Colorado Springs Christian School (Colorado Springs, CO) for ten years. Most recently, I served as principal of Byron Center Christian School (Byron Center, MI) for sixteen years. My wife, Tara, and I were married in 1979 and we have three grown daughters. I love guiding and challenging children and young people as they discover their gifts. I am passionate about serving teachers and parents as together we nurture the faith of children and young people by instilling in them a biblical worldview.

Tara and I enjoy spending time with our children and grandchildren. We also enjoy outdoor activities that include camping, hiking and biking.
