Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

Isaiah 43:1-3

I graduated from Lynden Christian School in 1977 and then attended Calvin College for the next 1½ years. I transferred to Western Washington University where I graduated with a B.A. in Education and a Minor in Child Psychology.

After graduating from WWU, I moved to Southern California where I taught for six years. God led me back to Lynden and I began teaching at Lynden Christian School in 1989.

I am so thankful to be teaching at Lynden Christian Schools. It’s been exciting, challenging, and rewarding to work with these children. My goal is to help each child realize and use the gifts that God has given them. I want them to feel good about the special, unique person that God has created them to be. With God’s love in their hearts, they will be a positive influence in the world around them.

My husband, Dan, is a manager at Americold Cold Storage in Lynden. We are both active members of Sonlight Community Church. We enjoy many outdoor activities including walking the dogs, golfing, fishing and gardening.
