A graduate of Calvin College, I began working at Lynden Christian in 1992.  I taught high school English until the summer of 2000 when I was trained as an Educational Therapist with NILD.  That following school year, I began working in the Discovery program at Lynden Christian until 2005 when I decided to stay home with my children.  In 2016, I returned to LC as a Discovery therapist once again.   I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with each of my students in helping them to reach their individual potential as a student.  I believe that this uniquely Christian program that I am privileged to be a part of here at LC is a gift.  I believe that the tools and the techniques that the Discovery program provides enables our students to strengthen their academic skills and become independent learners.  And while I desire so much that my students begin to discover their potential as learners, I pray that they also continue to discover their worth and value as a deeply loved child of God.  My husband Eric and I have three children: Jake, Levi, and Ella.  We attend Sonlight CRC in Lynden.  I enjoy reading, working in the yard, and doing home projects.
