Lori TeVelde opened the meeting by reading a devotion based on Psalm 56:3-4. When we choose to trust in God, he will help you face your struggles. “Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus”.
Board members shared reasons for celebration. Recent phone calls by the board to all LC families produced many reasons for rejoicing; we have so much to be thankful for despite our current challenges.
Superintendent Paul Bootsma informed the board that the finance team has applied for and received funds through the CARES Act / Payroll Protection Program. The finance committee continues to work on the 2020-2021 budget with various contingencies.
A large portion of time was dedicated to discussing parent feedback to the board regarding issues arising from our current online learning environment.
The meeting was closed with prayer.
