Lynden Christian High School is performing not one, but two plays this year! We are proud to present Connections: A Duo of Plays, which will stream online starting March 12 at 7 PM. Both of these plays have been produced fully digitally, allowing for the exploration of a new style of theater and embracing new technology in order to make it happen. The plays, “She’s Fabulous” and “This Random World: The Myth of Serendipity,” are unique in length, style, and meaning, and are bound to appeal to any audience. Enjoy the shows!

Show Synopses

She’s Fabulous: Two actresses of a certain age attend a performance of DEATH OF A SALESMAN, in which another actress, their great rival, is playing Linda Loman. They let us know how they feel about this.

This Random World: The Myth of Serendipity: We want to believe that serendipity brings us together, but is that just a myth? Mining the comedy of missed connections, THIS RANDOM WORLD asks the serious question of how often we travel parallel paths through the world without noticing. From an ailing woman who plans one final trip, to her daughter planning one great escape and her son falling prey to a prank gone wrong, this funny, intimate, and heartbreaking play explores the lives that may be happening just out of reach of our own.

Connections will be streamed through ShowTix4U on March 12, 13, 19, and 20 at 7 PM. You can “purchase” your tickets here. To watch the show, you need to “purchase” a free ticket and create and account on ShowTix4U. More instructions are provided here. Unlike EMMA, you have to view the show at a specific time, 7 PM, so make sure you aren’t late!

Thank you, loyal LCHS Drama patrons! We are so grateful to be part of such a generous and supportive community. We know this year has been tough, so we want to offer our show for free this year to anyone who would like to experience the joy of digital theatre!

In a typical year, it can cost around $10,000 or more to produce a show, but this year, we were able to keep our costs low. Ticket sales are always our only source of income, so if you feel so moved, we would deeply appreciate your donation. You will be supporting students creating quality theatre at LCHS for years to come!

When we perform live, tickets are $7 for students and seniors and $12 for adults per person per show.

You can visit this website to donate if you are so moved.
