“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
I graduated from Calvin College in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. I returned to Lynden, got married, and started substitute teaching. Starting in 1998, I taught at Ebenezer Christian School for three years as a 4th grade teacher. I then started a family of my own and stayed at home until my youngest daughter started school. I subbed for Lynden Christian for 6 years, and then became a part-time 5th grade teacher in 2014.
I feel blessed to be a part of the LC family as a parent and teacher. I am currently teaching 5th grade. I am honored to be a part of my student’s lives as they navigate through the path God has set before them. As we explore God’s world I pray that my student’s will be in awe of every detail of God’s handiwork. My goal is to love, encourage, teach, and walk alongside each child God has placed in my class. I am thankful to partner with the school, family, and church in educating our children to be disciples for Jesus.
My husband, Tim, is a partner at EverKept Construction. We have three daughters, Madison, Sydney, and Claire that attend Lynden Christian. We are members at Sonlight Christian Reformed Church.
