In life and in leadership, I feel it is important to be truthful and loving as I serve Christ, build community, and faithfully steward God’s resources. I am passionate about Christian education and the truth and love that it brings to the world through students who have a transforming influence for God in his kingdom.

My wife, Rachel, and I were married in 1998 and have five children. Our oldest daughter, Tyesha, lives and works in Illinois. Our twin sons, David and Devonta, and our younger son Eli all graduated from Lynden Christian High School in 2021 and 2022, respectively. Our youngest, Abram is in high school at LC. Rachel teaches first grade at Lynden Christian. Our family attends Sonlight Community Christian Reformed Church in Lynden.

I have served in Christian schools in North Carolina (Terra Ceia Christian School) and Minnesota (Southwest MN Christian High School) since 1995 as a teacher and principal. I received bachelor’s degrees from Trinity Christian College (1995) in Palos Height, IL in Communications and English with a concentration in teaching. I then received a master’s degree in school administration from East Carolina University (2001) in Greenville, NC. I completed my doctorate in educational leadership (2018) from St. Thomas University in Minneapolis, MN.

It has been a God-given blessing to learn, serve, and lead at Lynden Christian School!

“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ.” Ephesians 4: 15
