I teach 5th Grade General Music and Orchestra – grades 5-12. I started teaching at Lynden Christian in 2019.

I was born in Boise, Idaho in 1996 and moved to Washington state when I was 14 years old. I’ve been living in Whatcom country since 2011. I received my B.A degree from Western Washington University in 2018 for Music Education and Violin Performance. I enjoy the challenges and opportunities given to me in a classroom setting on a daily basis and I am so blessed to be able to start my teaching career in a school like Lynden Christian where I can combine my love and passion of music with my love for Jesus, and of course – my students.

When I am not teaching at LC, I spend a lot of my time at my church in Maple Falls that I have attended for almost a decade and am now serving as youth pastor since January of 2020. Taking on this role alongside my first year of teaching has been both an extreme challenge and immense blessing! When I am not teaching or planning sermons for youth services, I love to spend my free hours playing my violin and studying music. I enjoy performing both as a soloist and as a member of the Bellingham Symphony Orchestra. I also love spending time in the outdoors with my wonderful wife, Angela – who I’ve been married to since 2015.

Some of my interests beyond music are sports/exotic supercars! I’m a bit of a car nerd and love to take my Subaru BRZ out on a twisty road – just for fun! When I’m not driving, I love to detail fancy cars – mainly paint correction! I also love watching combat sports. My favorite movie genre is War and Historical Dramas.
