I was born and raised here in Bellingham, and I absolutely love it here! I have traveled abroad various times to Spain, France, Mexico, and many other parts of the United States, but Whatcom County has always been home. I graduated from Sehome High School and continued my education at Western Washington University, majoring in Spanish and Linguistics while earning my teaching certificate. I started teaching in 2005 and have taught all levels, from preschool to college level Spanish. During that time I also continued my education in Salamanca, Spain, earning my MA in Spanish Language and Culture in 2014. I came to Evergreen Christian School in 2015, just as the amazing immersion program was beginning. I love to see our students growing and thriving in a second language!

I’m a dedicated daughter, aunt, and sister. I love languages, music, and learning new things! In my free time, or when travelling, I can be found reading, playing violin, listening to (and often singing along with) musicals, watching a Seahawks game, and knitting, crocheting or tatting. Creativity is a gift that God has given me and I love to share it with my students! I am so excited to share in the language and learning of the students of Lynden Christian!
