The Lord your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.
I attended Lynden Christian K-12 and graduated in 2008. After high school, I attended Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL and graduated in 2012 with a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education, endorsed in Reading and Social Studies.
My first teaching job was at Lakeside Christian School in Clearwater, FL. For 4 years I taught 3rd grade and then taught 1 year of 4th/5th grade Math and 5th grade Bible.
Now, my husband and I have moved back to Lynden and I am thrilled to be a part of the LC community again, now in the teacher role. I am currently teaching 6th grade. As a Christian school teacher, my goal is to help show students that they are valued and loved by God. When I was a student, I appreciated all the support, love, and knowledge I was shown from my teachers and I desire to reciprocate that to my own students. As a Christian school teacher, my job is to not only to pass on knowledge to students, but to show them knowledge from a Christian worldview. My job is to also show them how to use that knowledge to glorify the Lord and be a transforming influence in the community and world. I thank God each day for the opportunity I have to teach in a Christian environment and get to spend time with such special kids!
I have been married to my husband Dan since 2013. He currently teaches Middle School & High School Band and Choir at Mount Vernon Christian School. We are members at First Reformed Church. When we’re not teaching, we enjoying playing games, trying new foods, and traveling!
