I grew up in Iowa and graduated from Dordt College in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  I’m currently teaching 7^th grade Bible, 7^th/8^th PE, and a Servant Leadership class. I have also taught at Evergreen Christian in Bellingham, WA, and Rock Valley Christian in Rock Valley, Iowa.

I love teaching middle school-aged children. They challenge me to be “real” with my faith and with how I teach. Exploring literature and developing writing skills is a love of mine. Showing my math students that math is all around them in God’s natural world is thrilling. I want each of my students to know and love the Lord and to know that they in turn are loved by Him.

My husband, Brian, has his own custom cabinet building business. We have three children: Zach, Tyler, and Brooklynn. We are members of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Lynden.
