For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
I teach second grade at Evergreen Christian School. I graduated from Bellingham High School and Western Washington University with a B.A. in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Psychology. I began teaching at Evergreen in 2003 and have taught in grades K-3. The majority of my teaching has been with second graders.
My desire is for students to grow spiritually as well as academically. As I teach I want kids to know the love God has for them and to create a caring and supportive learning environment. Each child is unique and I desire to notice their individual talents. My mission is to help foster the gifts God has given them and to encourage a love for learning. I enjoy the excitement that comes when students are learning something new! It is a blessing to be able to teach at Evergreen. It feels like working with good friends and family.
My husband, Gary, and I live in Bellingham and attend Cornwall Church. We enjoy hiking, going on nearby travels, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors enjoying God’s creation. Our dog Hugo loves the long walks and time spent outdoors as well!
