I grew up in Grand Rapids, MI. I graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High in 2004 and went on to Calvin College. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education in 2008. In June of 2009 I moved to Lynden, WA. That summer I worked at the Washington State Migrant Council. I began substitute teaching for Lynden Christian in September 2009. In January of 2010 I was offered a job working with several students with special needs. The students, parents, and fellow teachers have been such a blessing to work with.
On a more personal note, my husband Kevin and I were married July 23, 2010. We have enjoyed many adventures together including hiking, planting a garden, buying a house, visiting friends and family out of town, and getting together with friends for a relaxing evening of playing games.
