Medical Consent Form (Action Required) – There was a glitch in the reenrollment process (completed by current families in March).  Unfortunately, the medical consent for emergency treatment was not signed.  This release is kept on file in the school offices and goes along with students on field trips in the event of an emergency.  To correct this glitch, we need every family who reenrolled to complete the Medical Consent form before Friday, May 31.  An email from with the form attached was sent to current families yesterday.  This is a school email with a safe attachment that can be filled out and sent back electronically or printed and returned to any office.  If you have any questions, please call Tami Blankers at 360-318-9525 x1008.   

Central Office Summer Hours – Central Office summer hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm daily with the exception of Friday, June 7 (8:00 - 11:30 am) and Monday, June 10 (9:30 am - 4:30 pm).

Attention All Golfers!  The 31stth Annual LC Golf Tournament is on July 19, 2019.  Please join us at Homestead for a best ball tournament featuring both men’s and women’s teams. Shotgun starts at 8:00 am and 1:30 pm. All proceeds benefit LC by supporting the career and technical programs! Prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive and round winners in each division.  There will also be a 50/50 raffle and lunch at Steakhouse 9.  Click here to register. Medication Pick-up – Student medications must be picked up from the school offices by an adult family member by Tuesday, June 11.  Any medications that are not picked up by this date will be disposed of. Medication WILL NOT be sent home with your child.  

Evergreen Celebration - Past, Present, Future  - Friday, May 31 at 6:30 pm will be a special event that you don’t want to miss! Mark it on your calendars now. That evening will be a time for us all to gather together to celebrate Evergreen. Former families, staff and principals will be invited to join us as we reflect on all that God has done at ECS over the past 28 years. Check out the details here.

LYNCS Youth Summer Athletic Camps – LC is offering a variety of sports camps for next year’s (2019-2020) Kindergarten through 8th grade students (Not limited to Lynden Christian Students).  Registration will take place ONLINE ONLY again this year (no paper flyers/forms will be sent home).  To register your child(ren) for one or more of the camps, click here.  Please use your child’s grade for the fall (2019-2020) when registering.  A late fee of $5 will be applied after the registration deadlines, and a t-shirt or camp ball (depending on which camp) will not be guaranteed. Camps are limited in number of attendees, so registration may close prior to the deadlines listed.  Contact Kim Grycel ( with any questions regarding registration. Attention Parents/Guardians of Seniors – Please remind your senior about the list posted at the high school office where he/she needs to indicate his/her after high school plans (i.e. which college or school they will be attending, or if they will be working locally).  This list will be read at graduation and will be used to send final transcripts.  Seniors are asked to take this list seriously.

Graduation Celebration – Attention Senior Parents - You should have received an email (from explaining the plans for a celebration following graduation on June 6 at W.W.U.  If you did not get the email, your child may pick up the forms at the HS office. The forms and payment are due May 21 to the HS office or mailed to Tammy Wiersma.

High School Exams will be held June 4 through June 6.  The exam schedule and guidelines can be found here.

High School Registration Fees (book lease, ASB fee, class fees, participation fees and any other fees) for the 2018-2019 school year must be paid in full before report cards, transcripts and diplomas will be released in June.  Preferably, they should be paid in full prior to final exams (fines double during exam week – don’t wait!).  Please be reminded that these amounts are not included in tuition and are not automatically withheld.  They must be paid by check or cash to the high school.  If you have questions, please contact the high school office at 360-318-9525 opt 3.  Thank you!                                                             

Student Jobs and Volunteer Opportunities - New to the Student Jobs and Volunteer Opportunities list at Brio Cleaners in Bellingham has one full-time and one part-time attendant/clerk position (must be 16 and have HS diploma); Marlin’s Auto Service has a part-time Saturday and evening job opening, with possibility for full-time summer work; Lynden Manor has two part-time receptionist position openings.

Scholarships - Seniors who have received any college (academic, activity, athletic, memorial, etc.) or other community/memorial/organizational scholarships: Please let Mrs. Van Loo know – – so they can be acknowledged both at graduation and in the Lynden Tribune.


Yearbook Pre-Sale - Yearbooks can be pre-purchased for $15.00 now through Friday, May 17.  Simply bring in cash or a check (payable to ECS), and your child’s name will be added to the list. Yearbooks are ONLY available via pre-purchase.

Field Day is coming up on May 30! We are looking for lots of parent helpers. If you are free to volunteer, we’d love your help. The greatest need is for helpers with the games, the secondary need is team assistants. The time commitment is 12:15 - 2:15 pm. Click here for more details and to sign up.
