Attention All Golfers!  The 29th Annual LC Golf Tournament is on July 21, 2017.  Please join us at Homestead for a best ball tournament featuring both men’s and women’s teams. Shotgun starts at 8:00 am and 1:00 pm. All proceeds benefit LC by updating signage around campus hopefully including a digital reader board! Prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive and round winners in each division.  There will also be a raffle and lunch at Steakhouse 9. Earn Money for LC in the Farmer’s Day Parade! - The Inn at Lynden is looking for bicyclists to ride in the parade on Saturday, June 3 at 10:30 in downtown Lynden. In exchange for your participation, they will make a donation to LCS! The more kids, parents, grandparents and teachers that ride, the more money we earn!  Wear your LC Blue & White to show your school pride on the ride.  Email Ezra Stump to sign-up!  estump@lyncs.org

Tuition Reminders – T.R.I.P. payouts have been posted and will be applied against your final tuition auto-payment.  Emailed tuition statements can be reviewed 14 days after receipt and always reflect your current balance, so you can open your previously sent statement to see your T.R.I.P. payout.  Re-enrollment fees will not be on your current year tuition statements but instead on your 2017-2018 statement and will be applied against your August payment.

Medication Pick-up – Student medications must be picked up from the school offices by an adult family member by Tuesday, June 13.  Any medications that are not picked up by this date will be disposed of. Medication WILL NOT be sent home with your child.  

Plant Sale – The High School Horticulture Program would like to thank everyone who bought plants from the LC plant sale this year.  We appreciate your support and look forward to serving you next year!

T.R.I.P is Year-Round! – Did you know the T.R.I.P. program continues throughout the summer at the Lynden campus?  Pre-paid orders received by end of the business day any Wednesday are available for pick-up the following Wednesday after 10:30 am.  Stop by for instant purchases any Thursday morning between 8:00–9:00 am or at our designated $peed $ales from 3:00-7:00 pm on June 14, July 12 and August 9. 

Summer Tutoring – Parents who may be interested in having a child tutored during the summer break should contact Mrs. Jeany Aupperlee (360-354-5492 ext.1438 or jaupperl@lyncs.org).  She has a list of qualified individuals and can help arrange tutoring for your child.

Lyncs Zone - Need a new LC shirt to wear to summer camp or for a summer birthday gift?  We have t-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, sweatpants and socks ready to go! Suitcase Donations – The LC teachers are heading to Ghana, Africa on June 16 and are looking for suitcases they can take with them and leave there.  Suitcases serve multiple purposes for the people in Africa, and the LC group would like to bless them with as many as possible.  If you have a new or used suitcase you would like to donate, please drop it off at the elementary school office.

Lost and Found items left at the end of the school year will be donated to Second Chance Thrift Store.

BoxTops/Labels News – Final collection deadline for BoxTops and Labels is Friday, May 26. This will be the last tallied collection for this school year. All students in the Elementary School Building will receive a certificate for one free soft serve ice cream cone from our friends at Edaleen Dairy! Thank you Edaleen Dairy!!! Attention Parents/Guardians of Seniors – Seniors are asked to write down college (academic, activity, other) scholarships as well as any community, organization, memorial and other scholarships they have received, on the awards list in the library or email a note to Mrs. Van Loo at anitav@lyncs.org so that they can be acknowledged at graduation and in the Lynden Tribune.

High School Exams will be held June 6 through June 8.  The exam schedule and guidelines can be found here.

High School Registration Fees (book lease, ASB fee, class fees, participation fees and any other fees) for the 2016-2017 school year must be paid in full before report cards, transcripts and diplomas will be released in June.  Preferably, they should be paid in full prior to final exams (fines double during exam week – don’t wait!).  Please be reminded that these amounts are not included in tuition and are not automatically withheld.  They must be paid by check or cash to the high school.  If you have questions, please contact the high school office at 360-354-3221.  Thank you!

Graduation Ceremony - Lynden Christian High School Graduation will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 7:00 pm.  The ceremony will be held at the LCHS Football Stadium.  In the case of inclement weather, it will be moved into the LCHS Gymnasium.  Seating is first come, first serve, and we kindly ask that seats not be reserved ahead of time.  Any items, such as blankets or jackets set out to reserve seats ahead of time will be removed before the ceremony.  Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

Yearbook Pre-Sale - Yearbooks can be pre-purchased for $15.00 through Friday, May 19.  Simply bring in cash or a check (payable to ECS), and your child’s name will be added to the list. Yearbooks are ONLY available via pre-purchase.

Field Day is June 1. We are looking for lots of parent helpers! If you are free to volunteer, we’d love your help. Dads, this is another great chance to have a bunch of fun with your kiddos! The time frame is 12:45-3:15 pm. Please let Amy know if you can assist.

All School BoxTops Challenge - From now until June 2, we are challenging the whole ECS student body to collect as many Box Tops and Labels for Education as possible! Students can get creative and ask neighbors, friends, extended family members, etc…

Children’s Musical Theatre 2017 – The Children’s Musical Theatre Summer Stock 2017 proudly presents Madagascar Jr.  Your child will take a journey out of the zoo and onto the big stage with Directors Kathleen Dean and Dee Apodaca. Filled with outlandish characters, adventures galore and an upbeat score, Madagascar JR. will leave audiences with no choice but to “Move It, Move It!” Camp is for kids going into 3rd-12th grade and runs June 20-July 1, with 2 performing casts acting, dancing, singing in full costume and under the lights at the WFAC on June 30 & July 1 at 5:00 and 7:00 pm. Tickets are sold at the door. Registration forms are on the website at www.thechildrensmusicaltheater.com. Please cut, paste & email them along with questions to Heather Schmitt at goose6149@gmail.com.  The camp fills up quickly, so registrations are dated upon receipt, and a waiting list may be formed.
