 Mini Cheer Camp for girls in grades K-4 will be held after school on September 25, 26, 27 in the elementary gym (3:15-5:15 pm each day) with a half-time performance September 28 at the home football game.  The cost is $40.00 which includes a t-shirt and pom poms.  Please use “camp discount” at checkout if you already have poms.  Registration is ONLINE ONLY.  The Mini Cheer Camp registration option will pop up when you click here and select “Lynden Christian High” for the school.  
Polar Express Shopping Tour – Join FOLC for a stress-free day of Christmas shopping! The morning starts off with exclusive VIP shopping access to local downtown Lynden shops.  After that, we head down south to University Village for an afternoon of merriment and checking off of our to-do list for the holiday season. Lots of items to bring back? No worries, we have plenty of storage and amazing volunteers to help you safely load all your treasures to get them safe and sound back to Whatcom County. High School Fall Play - Pride and Prejudice, by Kate Hamill (adapted from the novel by Jane Austen). Tickets go on sale October 1. You can fill out a ticket order form at the Central Office or talk to a box office representative Mondays and Fridays from 8:30 am-12:30 pm at the Central Office. Tickets are also available at the door. In this comedic adaptation, “The outspoken Elizabeth Bennet faces mounting pressure from her statusconscious mother to secure a suitable marriage. But is marriage suitable for a woman of Elizabeth’s intelligence and independence? Especially when the irritating, aloof, self-involved…tall, vaguely handsome, mildly amusing, and impossibly aristocratic Mr. Darcy keeps popping up at every turn?! Literature’s greatest tale of latent love has never felt so theatrical, or so full of life, than it does in this effervescent adaptation.” – “Dramatists Play Service”. Performance dates are: October 11, 13, 19, 20  at 7:00 pm in the WFAC. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for students/seniors 62 and over.  
Adult Education Series – Astronomy of 2018 and Beyond!  There have been tremendous advances in astronomy and space travel in the past few years and plans for the near future are exciting.  Using digital resources, we will look at some of the astronomical successes, failures, and challenges of the future.  Weather permitting, we will use telescopes to look at the night sky.  Classes will be from 7:00 - 9:00 pm on October 1 and 8 in Room 112 (Science Lab) at Lynden Christian High School.  Taught by Harlan Kredit. Christian College: No longer worth it and not affordable = FALSE! - Larissa Kamps, Director of Admissions from Providence Christian College (Pasadena, CA), is coming to Lynden to provide information that could be good news to those who think a quality, Christian education is outside their reach.  Although the information she will share is good for any college, free merchandise from Providence College will be given to any high school student who attends as well as instant $500 scholarships to those who pre-qualify for admission!  See you on Wednesday September 26 on the mezzanine level at the new Inn at Lynden hotel (100 – 5th Street): arrive by 7:00 pm for financing tips or show up any time before 8:30 pm for refreshments and see what an intimate, Reformed college in Pasadena has to offer (

Fred Meyer Community Rewards - Fred Meyer has an incredible club card program!  The store will donate a % of the club card holder’s store spending back to the school of their choice. Bus Loop Safety – Just a reminder that the bus loop is closed to parents dropping off students before 8:30 am.  For student safety, the loop is designated for buses only from 8:00-8:30 am and 3:00-3:30 pm.  Please do not enter or park in the loop until all the buses have safely cleared the loop.  Thank you for your attention to this matter and for helping us keep our students safe.

Box Tops/Labels News - The elementary school monthly Box Tops/Campbell’s Labels contest is underway!  Please send in your Box Tops and watch for Tyson A+ put them in a zip top bag with your child’s grade and teacher written on the bag.

National Christian College Fair will be on Thursday, September 27 from 8:30-10:30 am in the student lounge.  There will be an evening fair at Christ the King in Bellingham from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Financial Aid Workshops will be held in both locations. We are expecting close to 30 Christian colleges/universities!  Parents, students and visitors are encouraged to attend.    Reading Café  - For students who love a good story and would like to connect with other readers, the Reading Café will meet on Wednesdays, 8:10 am, in the Library Conference Room.
