Kindergarten Information

Admission into Lynden Christian School is a two-step process.

1. A campus tour is required to receive an enrollment application. Appointments to tour the school are available daily Monday - Friday. Please call Darren Johnson, Admissions Director, at (360) 318-9525 to schedule a tour. We will mail enrollment information packets to families that live out of the area.
2. Once a family decision is made the completed enrollment and application forms should be brought in to the Central Office.
3. After all the forms have been submitted a conference with the family will be scheduled; both parents should be present for this interview. For families with middle or high school children, they should come to the interview as well.



4. Following a successful conference a recommendation for acceptance will be sent to the school board who makes the final decision on enrollment. A letter will be sent to each family after this decision.

All prospective parents are strongly encouraged to attend an Informational Open House. They are wonderful opportunities to learn more about the mission and vision of the school, meet the administrators, discuss tuition, and go over admission procedures.

This entire procedure is designed to give the prospective parent(s) maximum amount of information and communication as possible. This is a very important decision and we feel strongly that a commitment needs to be made wholeheartedly and without reservation.

Early enrollment in kindergarten is encouraged!

Students are asked not to arrive before 8:15 a.m. nor remain after 3:30 p.m.; teachers are working and may not be in the classroom. Please notify the teacher and the school office in advance if you plan to drop off your child early or pick them up late.

If your child is sick please notify the school office before 8:30 a.m.

Please send a note to your child's teacher, or call the school office, if your child will miss part of a day due to an appointment. Advance notice is appreciated.

Vacations and other non-emergency extended absences require an Excused Absence Form. This form should be filled out well in advance of the planned absence and returned to the school office. A note to your child's teacher is appreciated as well.
