Release
of Salmon |
| The fish were corralled together to catch them. |

The fish were scoped out of the tank in large nets.
| Then Carried to the barrels in the back of the
trucks for transportation |

About 60,000 fish were moved to six different
locations along the fish trap creek to be released. |
| The class used two student trucks with tanks and aerators
to keep the fish alive. |

The trucks were filled with fish first in order to
give the drivers time to get to their release locations. |
| The last 10,000 fish were released in
an area along the Fishtrap next to the hatchery, behind the
campus. These fish were pulled out in smaller amounts |

Placed into buckets. |
| Students carried the buckets down the creek,
releasing the salmon about 100 ft apart. |

Gently placed the fish into the creek. |
| The remaining salmon, that couldn't be extracted
from the tank, were flushed out of the drain pipe to the
creek. These salmon will remember exactly were the were
place in the stream and will return there in 3 years. |
