Second Chance Thrift Store is looking for LCHS students to work at the store on Saturdays (9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).  Qualified candidates must have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and a passion for Christian Education. Duties include clerking, customer service, light cleaning, and organizing. Candidates need to be able to work independently and able to make judgments with minimum supervision. If you engaged in a significant volunteer activity occurring in part within the last twelve months or served in a significant leadership role in a group activity, you may be eligible for this award. Essay required summarizing your community service, including your motivation to serve, the effort required, the impact that it had, and personal growth that took place. Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship – 11/20/17

Wells Fargo Scholarship Program for People with Disabilities – 11/28/17 deadline or until 700 applications have been submitted

For graduating seniors who plan to enroll full-time or half-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college/university in the US. Applicants must have an identified disability; 3.0 GPA required; $2,500 renewable scholarships for full-time students; up to $1,250 for half-time students Information and Application     

AXA Achievement Scholarships – 12/15/17

State and national scholarships available to graduating seniors who are US citizens or legal residents and who plan to attend a two or four-year U.S. college on a full-time basis.  Based on academics and demonstrated achievement, ambition and self-drive in school, community or workplace activities.  Scholarships of $25,000 and $10,000. Burger King Scholars Program – 12/15/17

Scholarships available to graduating HS seniors in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, who plan to attend a four-year, community or vocational-technical college full-time. Minimum 2.5 GPA required. Based on academics, work experience, and extracurricular and/or community service activities. Awards range from $1,000 to $50,000. Information and Application

Whatcom County Student Athlete Todd Curran Memorial Scholarships – 12/31/17- Two scholarships available to graduating Whatcom County high school seniors. Requirements include involvement in both sports and community service activities and at least a 3.0 GPA.
