Do-It (Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking, Technology) Scholars Summer Program at the University of Washington

For Sophomores and Juniors with a learning difference, disability or health impairment who would like to attend college. One-to-two week summer program exploring college life, careers and adaptive technology. Priority is given to students who submit applications before January 30.  Applications available from Mrs. Van Loo.

Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program-12/12/17

Ages 15-18 ½. Scholarships available to study abroad in Germany. Requirements : US citizen, 3.0 GPA.  Information 

AXA Achievement Scholarships – 12/15/17

State and national scholarships available to graduating seniors who are US citizens or legal residents and who plan to attend a two or four-year U.S. college on a full-time basis.  Based on academics and demonstrated achievement, ambition and self-drive in school, community or workplace activities.  Scholarships of $25,000 and $10,000. Information and application  Apply early since scholarship process closes once 10,000 applications have been received.

Burger King Scholars Program – 12/15/17

Scholarships available to graduating HS seniors in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, who plan to attend a four-year, community or vocational-technical college full-time. Minimum 2.5 GPA required. Based on academics, work experience, and extracurricular and/or community service activities. Awards range from $1,000 to $50,000. Information and Application

Whatcom County Student Athlete Todd Curran Memorial Scholarships – 12/31/17- Two scholarships available to graduating Whatcom County high school seniors. Requirements include involvement in both sports and community service activities and at least a 3.0 GPA. Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarships – 1/11/18

Variety of scholarships available to Asian American and Pacific Highlander HS seniors who will be entering university/college beginning in the Fall of 2018.  2.7 GPA required; other criteria dependent on scholarship.   Information

FFA Scholarships - 2/1/18

More than 1.800 scholarships available to graduating seniors who plan to attend a post-secondary school, and to college students. They are given for a wide variety of experiences, career goals and higher education plans. Awards based on FFA involvement, work experience, Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), community service, leadership skills and academics. Note : There are some scholarships that do not require FFA membership. Information and Application   

Better Business Bureau 10k Students of Integrity Scholarship  -  2/13/18

 For juniors and seniors in Alaska, Oregon or Western Washington, who will graduate in 2018 or 2019 and plan to pursue higher education. Based on demonstrating and communicating ethics in the real world, through community service, personal integrity, and academic accomplishments.  3.0 GPA required.  Must create an original 90-second video, telling a story about how the Better Business Bureau helps people become smart consumers. $10,000    Information 

Calvin College Entrada Scholars Summer Program – 3/2/18

A live-on campus opportunity for Junior and Senior minority students who are planning to attend college and desire to explore campus life and college courses. Program runs from July 6-Aug. 2, 2018. 3.0 GPA required.  Information 

Washington State School Retirees’ Scholarships – 3/2/18

For graduating seniors who are committed to a career in the field of education, including teacher, counselor, speech therapist, occupational therapist, and psychologist. 3.0 GPA required. Based on academics, test scores, school and community activities, leadership, and recommendations. Eight WSSR Foundation one-time $2500 scholarships, sixteen Robert J. Handy $900 4-year renewable awards, one Neil D. Prescott one-time $2,500 scholarship. Application   

 Ewing C. Kelly Foundation Scholarships 3/10/18

Awards available to graduating U.S. seniors or students with a green card who plan to attend a four-year or two-year college. Based on citizenship, academic achievement, extra-curricular and community involvement, financial need and recommendations. Minimum test scores required : ACT, 20 or SAT, 1030. Approximately fifty scholarships of $2,500 available.  Information and Application  

Seton Hall University Sustainable Development Challenge – 3/11/18

Grades 10-12. Submit a 300-500 word statement that describes an innovative approach or idea you have for addressing one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  Cash prizes and college scholarships. Information 

WIAA/Dairy Farmers of Washington/Les Schwab Tires Smart Choices Scholarships – 4/1/18

Two $5,000 and eight $1,000 scholarships available to graduating seniors who plan to attend a state-accredited four-year college/university on a full-time basis. IBEW Local 191 Scholarships for training in a construction-related field – 4/6/18  

Twenty $500 scholarships available to graduating seniors pursing training in a construction-related field at a technical or community college. Scholarship available to graduating LCHS senior who plans to attend an accredited/listed Christian college. Based on academics, school and community involvement, financial need, essay and recommendations.  One $6,000 award, consisting of an initial scholarship of $1,500, renewable for three additional years.
