“Suites & Sweets” Orchestra Fundraiser – Lynden Campus grades 6-12 orchestras invite you to “Suites & Sweets,” an evening of light music and decadent desserts, on Friday, February 9 at 7:30 pm. Seating is limited for this event and advanced tickets are required. Tickets are $10 each or $70 for a table of eight and must be purchased by Wednesday, February 7 through a high school orchestra student or at the Central Office.

High School Musical! – The Lynden Christian High School Drama Department presents James and the Giant Peach. This performance is a delightfully new and offbeat adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl adventure. When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach…and launches a journey of enormous proportions.  Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of a gigantic peach – among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities – but, after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean, the group faces hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements.  Thanks to James’ quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family.  The dangerous voyage is a success, but the adventure takes a whole new twist once they land on the Empire State Building.  James and the Giant Peach is a treat for the whole family!

Tickets are on sale and are available at the Central Office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Tickets are expected to sell quickly, so be sure to get yours right away!  Prices are $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for seniors/students. All shows will be performed in the high school Worship and Fine Arts Center and begin at 7:00 pm (except the matinee showing at 1:00 pm on February 3).  Performances dates are January 26, 27, 30 and February 1 and 3.

HS and MS Athletic Information can be found at www.nwcathletics.com.  This includes schedules (schedule and weather-related changes), rosters, scores and directions to game locations.  Please note: tickets WILL NOT be pre-sold for the LC vs. Lynden high school basketball games on January 18 and 19.  There will be a separate door for those with passes, punch cards and LCHS students.

Elementary School Open House - The very best promotion is “word of mouth,” and we want your help identifying families who might be interested in learning more about LC!  Our Elementary School Open House will be on February 13, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.  We will have staff on hand to answer questions about the classes and curriculum for preschool through 4th grade. This will be a great introduction to Lynden Christian School and all we have to offer students and families.  Any contact names I receive will be sent a personal invitation to the Open House. All those who submit the name of a family who might be interested in learning about LC, will be entered into a drawing for a dinner at The Rusty Wagon and tickets for your immediate family to the LCHS musical production of James and the Giant Peach. Please email me names and contact information by January 22, 2018!  Contact the Central Office if you have any questions (360) 318-9525 x 1004. Thanks!  Note: Another way you can help us to get the word out is to LIKE and SHARE our posts on social media when you see them!                                                                                                        Ezra Stump , Development Director

Student Safety Reminder - Please do not block Drayton Street when waiting to move your vehicle into the pick-up lane before or after school.  This is illegal and creates an extremely unsafe situation for our students crossing the street.  Thank you for helping keep our students safe!

Parents of Current Preschool and Kindergarten Students were sent an email regarding schedule preference for the 2018-2019 school year.  Please reply to this email or contact the elementary school directly (360-318-9525, option 1) with your intentions for next year.  This is very helpful to the school for accurately planning budgets and classroom/staffing needs.  Response to this email DOES NOT take the place of re-enrollment, which will be done online next semester.
