Giving to LCS

Your gift to Lynden Christian School makes a difference to every student and teacher in our school community, and helps families bridge the gap between what they pay in tuition and the true cost of a Christian education. Your donations, prayers, and time spent volunteering allow us to offer the highest quality programs, while also placing tuition levels within reach to more families and students here in Whatcom County.

Annual Fund

Gifts made to the Annual Fund can be designated for Tuition Assistance or Mortgage Reduction.  Tuition Assistance provides help to Lynden Christian School families who are facing financial hardships. This program is essential for those who deeply desire a Christian education for their children but find themselves in challenging circumstances.

What an amazing testimony to God's faithfulness and to this community that only $1,575,000 remains on the remainder of our mortgage. To put this in perspective, the original debt for construction of the new middle school and extensive renovations to the elementary and high school buildings was $12.6 million. Your contribution, regardless of size, will reduce the remaining balance of the school's mortgage, a gift that will enable us to meet the future facility needs of our students.

Capital Campaign - Phase III

The Lynden Christian School Board is committed to moving forward with Phase III once funding is secured. The remaining portions of Phase III will focus on much-needed improvements to the High School gymnasium complex including locker rooms, PE teachers' and coach's offices, training rooms, restrooms, entrance and corridor improvements and expansion, concession areas. The total cost to complete the remainder of Phase III is estimated at $2.2 million.  (The school has received a generous pledge of $725,000 which will substantially reduce the remaining amount of funds to be raised for the project!)  We have split the remaining improvements into the three phases below. Once the required funds are raised, we will move forward.

  • Phase III-A:  Locker Room Upgrade and Expansion w/ Offices, Athletic Training Room, and Concession Area:  Estimated Cost: $1.7 million
  • Phase III-B:  South Corridor Upgrade and Expansion w/ Concession and Restroom Improvements:  Estimated Cost: $350,000
  • Phase III-C:   West Corridor Addition:  Estimated Cost: $140,000

LCS Endowment Fund

The Lynden Christian School Endowment Fund exists to help provide Christian education for children and young people for generations to come. Without the help of the Endowment Fund, many parents could not afford Christian education. The earnings of the Endowment Fund are donated to the General Opperating Fund of Lynden Christian there by reducing tuition costs of all Lynden Christian families.  Lynden Christian's Endowment Fund promotes, accepts, and manages gifts of money, property, securities, bequests, life insurance and other forms of contribution for the support of the Lynden Christian Schools. By wise estate planning, all of us can help leave a Christian education legacy for future generations.

The Lynden Christian School Endowment Fund is a Lynden, Washington, tax-exempt charity (IRS TIN 20-2513206) registered under the Charitable Solicitation Act with the Washington Secretary of State; donors may obtain additional financial disclosure information from that office by telephone at (800) 332-4483 or online at www.secstate.wa.gov/charities.

Alumni Connection Association

Alumni are very important to the future of Lynden Christian Schools as they provide the broad base of prayer and financial support. We are proud of our graduates as they are active Kingdom workers in their homes, churches, communities and occupations.

Your donation enables former students to stay connected with Lynden Christian and one another. Our Alumni Coordinator maintains the alumni database, assists with reunion planning and special events, maintains the website and shares alumni news.

Cardboard Recycling

Volunteers from Lynden Christian's Recycle Center travel to businesses in Whatcom County to pick up cardboard for recycling. Our volunteers are mostly grandfathers, and great-grandfathers, to children currently attending Lynden Christian Schools, and take great pride in being a part of the schools recycling efforts. We currently provide this service free of charge; however, monetary donations are very much appreciated as it helps to cover fuel costs and truck maintenance.

Family Fun Night - May 17

This is a highly-anticipated event with tremendous attendance – 1,485 guests (646 adults and 839 children) attended the last event! Families enjoy dinner and fellowship, play carnival games and have tons of family-friendly fun! This event is not a fundraiser but a “friend-raiser.” Our goal is to simply offset the cost of this event by providing sponsorship opportunities to local businesses.
