It takes considerable effort on the part of many groups and individuals to make Lynden Christian Schools run well. Families enrolled in LCS are encouraged to participate in their child's education by volunteering in the classroom and by participating in the organizations and projects listed below. Grandparents and friends of Lynden Christian Schools are also encouraged to participate in these projects and organizations.
LCS Tuition Assistance Fund
Over the years the Tuition Assistance Fund has helped many families "afford" Christian education for their children. Yearly, the school grants over $100,000 in tuition assistance. If we are to impact the 21st Century for Christ, then our Christian schools will need to continue training our children and grandchildren to explore, evaluate, and experience all of life under God. Our Tuition Assistance program is essential in providing Christian education to as many students as possible.
Health, Fitness & Athletics Complex
-
Project Update
God has been building at Lynden Christian Schools for years, and we believe He is not finished building yet! The gymnasium area is the only remaining portion of the high school that is badly in need of updating and expansion. The plan for the Health, Fitness and Athletics Complex consists of the following improvements:
New weight room (now located in a small building across track and football field)
Expanded and updated locker rooms with adjoining offices and storage areas
Expansion and upgrades to the gymnasium foyer
Significant upgrades to heating, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, insulation, etc.
Our physical education and athletic programs are important to the educational experiences of our students. Good facilities are also necessary for the hundreds of student-athletes who compete on our campus each year as well as the thousands of spectators who visit our facilities annually. Our 100th anniversary is right around the corner (2009-2010 school year), and we would like to complete this project prior to that celebration.
The cost for this important project is $3.8 million. Of this amount, $1.3 million has been raised. That leaves a difference of $2.5 million that is still needed in funding.
We respectfully ask you to pray as to where God would lead you to give to this campaign. All gifts make a difference whether it's a one-time gift or a pledge commitment; a sacrificial gift of $50/month given at God's direction is as valued as a larger gift to the campaign. With your help and the help of other Lynden Christian School supporters we can complete this project.
LCS Endowment Fund:
Ensuring Christian Education for Generations to Come

The Lynden Christian School Endowment Fund exists to help provide Christian education for children and young people for generations to come. Without the help of the Endowment Fund, many parents could not afford Christian education. The earnings from the Endowment Fund are
used directly to aid parents in the cost of Christian education. Lynden Christian's Endowment Fund promotes, accepts, and manages gifts of money, property, securities, bequests, life insurance and other forms of contribution for the support of the Lynden Christian Schools. By wise estate planning, all of us can help leave a Christian education legacy for future generations.
The Lynden Christian School Endowment Fund is a Lynden, Washington, tax-exempt charity (IRS TIN 20-2513206) registered under the Charitable Solicitation Act with the Washington Secretary of State; donors may obtain additional financial disclosure information from that office by telephone at (800) 332-4483 or online at www.secstate.wa.gov/charities.
Alumni Connection Association
In 1999, Lynden Christian High School celebrated its 50th Anniversary. During this year, we also started an organization called the "Alumni Connection." The main goal of LCS Alumni Connection is to better link alumni with each other and to their alma mater, Lynden Christian School! Alumni are important to the future of LCS as they provide the broad base of prayer and financial support. Lynden Christian's alumni have also been active kingdom workers in their homes, churches, communities and occupations.
Goals for our LCS Alumni Connection:
- Maintain a current up-to-date list of all of our alumni
- Send out an alumni newsletter twice a year
- Assist with alumni reunions and special events
- Sponsor alumni scholarships for LCHS students
- Provide information to our alumni through our web page
Join the many others who have become Alumni Contributors!
In order to fund the Alumni Connection, hundreds of alumni have become Alumni Contributors. An Alumni Contributor donates a $25 annual, tax-deductible gift to the Alumni Connection. These gifts help us provide these alumni services.
You may become an Alumni Contributor Online by using your credit card, or contact the Alumni Office.
