Giving to LCS
Your gift to Lynden Christian School makes a difference to every student and teacher in our school community. Gifts bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a Christian education, allowing us to offer the highest quality program, at tuition levels that are affordable to more families and students. It takes the whole school community to bridge this gap.
Your participation is key. Please prayerfully consider where God is leading you to give. All gifts, no matter the size, make a difference.
LCS Tuition Assistance Fund
Tuition Assistance provides help to Lynden Christian School families who are facing financial hardships. This program is essential for those who deeply desire a Christian education for their children but find themselves in challenging circumstances.

Mortgage Reduction
What an amazing testimony to God's faithfulness and to this community that only $2 million remains on the remainder of our mortgage. To put this in perspective, the original debt for construction of the new middle school and extensive renovations to the elementary and high school buildings was $12.6 million. The School Board is committed to being good stewards of God's resources and reducing indebtedness is a top priority. Your contribution, regardless of size, will reduce the remaining balance of the school's mortgage, a gift that will enable us to meet the future facility needs of our students.
Capital Campaign - Phase III
God has been faithful throughout our Capital Campaigns to improve our school campus. Since 1994, Lynden Christian Schools has undergone the following improvements and additions:
- Construction of the Middle School
- Construction of the Worship and Fine Arts Center with adjoining rooms
- Renovations to the Elementary School classrooms
- Renovations to the SE and SW wings of the High School
- Purchase of two homes in the center of campus; one has been transitioned into our Central Administrative Offices
- Renovation of the former Middle School into the Second Chance Thrift
- Construction of Strength and Fitness Center (The initial portion of Phase III is the Strength and Fitness Center.)
The Lynden Christian School Board is committed to moving forward with Phase III once funding is secured. The remaining portions of Phase III will focus on much-needed improvements to the High School gymnasium complex including locker rooms, PE teachers' and coach's offices, training rooms, restrooms, entrance and corridor improvements and expansion, concession areas. The total cost to complete the remainder of Phase III is estimated at $2.2 million. (The school has received a generous pledge of $725,000 which will substantially reduce the remaining amount of funds to be raised for the project!) We have split the remaining improvements into the three phases below. Once the required funds are raised, we will move forward.
A. Locker Room Upgrade and Expansion w/ Offices, Athletic Training Room, and Concession Area
Estimated Cost: $1.7 million
B. South Corridor Upgrade and Expansion w/ Concession and Restroom Improvements Estimated Cost: $350,000
C. West Corridor Addition Estimated Cost: $140,000
LCS Endowment Fund:
The Lynden Christian School Endowment Fund exists to help provide Christian education for children and young people for generations to come. Without the help of the Endowment Fund, many parents could not afford Christian education. The earnings from the Endowment Fund are
used directly to aid parents in the cost of Christian education. Lynden Christian's Endowment Fund promotes, accepts, and manages gifts of money, property, securities, bequests, life insurance and other forms of contribution for the support of the Lynden Christian Schools. By wise estate planning, all of us can help leave a Christian education legacy for future generations.
The Lynden Christian School Endowment Fund is a Lynden, Washington, tax-exempt charity (IRS TIN 20-2513206) registered under the Charitable Solicitation Act with the Washington Secretary of State; donors may obtain additional financial disclosure information from that office by telephone at (800) 332-4483 or online at www.secstate.wa.gov/charities.
Alumni Connection Association
Alumni are very important to the future of Lynden Christian Schools as they provide the broad base of prayer and financial support. We are proud of our graduates as they are active Kingdom workers in their homes, churches, communities and occupations.
Your donation enables former students to stay connected with Lynden Christian and one another. Our Alumni Coordinator maintains the alumni database, assists with reunion planning and special events, maintains the website and shares alumni news.
