Our History... 1910 to Present
Since its inception nearly 100 years ago, God has blessed Lynden Christian Schools with faithful students, dedicated parents, talented faculty and strong leadership. He has guided the school's expansion from a 1911 schoolhouse to its current 45-acre Lynden campus and a beautiful Bellingham campus located at The Firs near Lake Whatcom. We are so very privileged and blessed to provide our students with an invaluable Biblically-based education, and our prayer is that each child matures in the Lord and becomes a transforming influence in society.
Our Progress Over the Last Century
The present Lynden Christian High School building was dedicated on August of 1965 - almost 45 years ago! Thousands of students, across two generations, have received an excellent and broad-based Christian education in this facility. We are so grateful that our graduates are serving the Lord literally all over the world!
Through God's grace and your unselfish giving of time, talent and treasure, we've experienced some amazing blessings together. During the past seven years, the aging facility has received much needed improvements to create efficiency and accommodate changes in educational programs. A 600-seat Worship and Fine Arts Center and attached classrooms were added (2002), the science and math wing was redone (summer of 2006), a new roof was completed (summer of 2007), and the southwest wing was extensively renovated and the offices relocated this past summer (2008).
Our Goal... Building for Future Generations
God has been building at Lynden Christian Schools for years, and we believe He is not finished building yet! The gymnasium area is the only remaining portion of the high school that is badly in need of updating and expansion. The plan for the Health, Fitness and Athletic Complex consists of the following improvements:
New weight room (now located in a small building across track and football field)
Expanded and updated locker rooms with adjoining offices and storage areas
Expansion and upgrades to the gymnasium foyer
Significant upgrades to heating, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, insulation, etc.
Our physical education and athletic programs are important to the educational experiences of our students. Good facilities are also necessary for the hundreds of student-athletes who compete on our campus each year as well as the thousands of spectators who visit our facilities annually. Our 100th anniversary is right around the corner (2009-2010 school year), and we would like to complete this project prior to that celebration.
Our Responsibility for Future Generations
The cost for this important project is $3.8 million. Of this amount, $1.3 million has been raised.
That leaves a difference of $2.5 million that is still needed in funding.
We respectfully ask you to pray as to where God would lead you to give to this campaign. All gifts make a difference whether it's a one-time gift or a pledge commitment; a sacrificial gift of $50/month given at God's direction is as valued as a larger gift to the campaign. With your help and the help of other Lynden Christian School supporters we can complete this project.

I Peter 4:11 - If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
