Trinity Christian College Music Scholarships
Renewable music scholarships available for both music majors and non-majors. Based on academics, audition, essay and recommendations. Awards range from $500 to $3,000 annually. Brochures available from Mrs. Van Loo.


Art Institute Scholarships

Whatcom County Student Athlete Todd Curran Memorial Scholarships
Two scholarships available to graduating Whatcom County high school seniors. Requirements include involvement in both sports and community service activities and at least a 3.0 GPA. Based also on recommendations and written statement. $5,000 ($1,000 a year for up to five years).

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program
One hundred scholarships available to students entering college full-time for the 2012-2013 year or existing college students. The award consists of $25,000 per year for up to 4 years or 5 years for a qualified engineering program. Additional scholarships include $2,000 one-time awards for 1,000 students. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, plan to major in the the area of Engineering/Technology or select Design and Business-related programs of study and be interested in pursuing a career in the automotive or a related industry. Washington State School Retirees' Scholarships
For graduating seniors who are committed to entering the teaching profession (classroom teacher, school counselor, communications disorder specialist, school counselor, reading specialist, librarian, etc.). Robert J. Handy Pemco Memorial Scholarships
For graduating seniors who are committed to entering the teaching profession (classroom teacher, school counselor, communications disorder specialist, school counselor, reading specialist, librarian, etc.). Ewing C. Kelly Foundation Scholarships
Awards available to graduating U.S. seniors or students with a green card who plan to attend college and who demonstrate good citizenship while striving to attain their academic goals. Based on academic merit, personal statement, school and community extra-curricular achievements, and financial need. Minimum test scores required : ACT, 20; SAT, 1400. Washington State Employees Credit Union Scholarships
Scholarships available to graduating seniors who plan to attend a four-year, two-year or vocational/technical college full-time in the fall of 2012. $2,000 scholarships for recipients attending four-year colleges or graduate school and $1,000 awards for recipients attending two-year or vocational schools. One $1,000 award available to Washington State graduating senior who will study horticulture, botany or a related field and who plans to attend an accredited college. Chelsey Ebert Memorial Basketball Scholarship
Scholarship available to a senior girl basketball player-one $144 award for each Whatcom County High School. Based on basketball participation, academic achievement, leadership, community service, career goals and statements about what you have given and received through your basketball experiences.

Hoksbergen Scholarships
Two scholarships available to graduating LCHS seniors who plan to attend a Christian college. Based on academics, school and community involvement and financial need. Essay required on how your Christian principles have affected your life experiences and learning, and in what manner your faith and learning affects your academic, vocational, spiritual, and family goals as a Christian adult. One $6,000 award, consisting of an initial scholarship of $1,500, renewable for three additional years, and one $3,000 award, with an initial scholarship of $1,500, renewable for one year. AES Scholarships
Scholarships available to graduating seniors and all students who are or will attend a post secondary school. Students must submit an essay of no more than 1000 words in answer to the following question: What are your dreams for your future? Imagine America Foundation Scholarships
Up to five $1,000 scholarships available to graduating LCHS seniors who will enter a program at specific career colleges. Based on academics (2.5 GPA required), financial need and demonstrated voluntary community service in senior year. Career schools include Gene Juarez Academy, Everest College, DigiPen Institute of Technology, the Art Institute of Seattle, Wyoming Tech and many more throughout the US.
